每年鄰近端午節，粽子界的南北口水戰大肆開打，爭吵數年仍無法得出勝負，而一位民眾則提出新選手「客家粿粽（又稱粄粽）」，貼文發出引起熱議，不少人對此款粽子相當喜愛，直呼：「超愛吃的！」原PO於PTT上發文，表示不管是南部粽還是北部粽，對他來說都已不具有新鮮感，於是查詢了客家人都吃什麼樣的粽子，他看見外型笑稱像「3D菜包」，引起熱議。
據新北市客家觀光美食館所述，客家粿粽是由糯米和蓬萊米浸泡混合，磨成米漿後製成。內餡多以蘿蔔乾、蝦米、紅蔥頭、香菇絲、豬肉等材料為主，但因是用米漿做成白色粄狀，故無法在外形上看到米粒。聞起來有濃郁竹葉香，粽身非常Q彈有嚼勁，味道略帶甜味。
不少已嘗過客家粿粽的網友表示：「雖然我不是客家人，但我覺得好吃」、「其實很好吃」、「其實還蠻有特色的好吃呢」、「超愛吃的」、「蘿蔔乾讚讚」。
